My friend and I made a pit stop during our road trip for some takeout at this restaurant. Despite arriving at a quiet time, we were informed that our food would take about 20 minutes. While waiting in the car, I noticed the older decor of the restaurant. I ordered two lunch specials which came with a choice of fried rice or white rice. The fried rice was decent, with small vegetable pieces, but a bit bland. The miso soup was a standout, not too salty and complemented the oily dishes well. The GRILLED GOLDEN FISH was lackluster, lacking seasoning and having a strong fishy taste. On the other hand, the PORK KATSU was fried perfectly and had great flavor, especially with the tasty katsu sauce. Each lunch entree included golden miso sauce, an egg roll, salad, and two fruit slices. While the miso sauce enhanced the dishes, the salad and fruit quality were disappointing. Overall, it was a quick lunch that did satisfy some cravings, but fell short in terms of overall experience.

Personally, I found it to be just fine - nothing too overwhelming or out of place that would distract from enjoying my meal.
